Ford-Mustang Car Shipping

Always do  your due diligence.

TD-Freight officially does not offer vehicle Inspections. If you are interested in having a vehicle inspected there are independent services  offered by inspection companies. These companies will give you an independent review of the condition of the car so you can ensure that it matches what the seller has listed.  Please keep in mind that these companies charge for every car inspected irrespective of whether you buy it or not.

Can I ship parts and ship them with the car?

Many of our clients purchase a kit and then import into their native country.  TD-Freight offers consolidation services that includes shipping the engine, transmission and other components  all in one container.  There are some limitations if other than parts like household goods.  The price may change with the added items and weight.  We have a parts resource business that may be of assistance.

What shipping method is recommended

RoRo vs Containers

Vehicles shipped on roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) vessels. Usually reserved for new cars. Its sorta a multilevel floating parking garage. However during the journey, the vehicles are not as well protected against the salt water and the moisture. They are also driven on and off the vessel by dock workers. This means your vehicle must be in running and driving condition, and not all to start at any time. Why RoRo may not be a good idea.

Shipping via container remains the preferred method for many reasons. To start things off, moving a car by airplane is around 10x the price of shipping in a container. So it is typically reserved for the very expensive cars that must arrive as quickly as possible. We’re able to provide container consolidation when shipping only 1-2 cars at a time and ship them to the popular car import ports. This significantly lowers the price when compared to

requiring a full container. Benefits of shipping in Container

Safety / Buyer Beware when purchasing a vehicle and hiring a Freight forwarding Company

1. Google the address
Check the address of the dealership to see whether it is registered to another business. Scams  can involve using an address of another legitimate  business.

2. Check Google Maps
By searching the address on Google Maps you will be able to get a street view and satellite imagery of the location, allowing you to see if there is actually  a dealership there, or an empty field.

3. Get a bill of sale
Ensure you get a bill of sale prior to sending the  dealership money. Make sure the bill of sale includes a company header, with the correct address, correct purchase amount and a signature. Never wire money to anyone else than what it says on the bill of sale.

4. Ask for a copy of the title
In order to export a vehicle from the United States, it must have an original title. To make sure it exists  and the dealer has it in hand, always ask for a copy prior to sending funds. Also pay attention to see if  there?s an outstanding lien on the title, because if  there is a lien you will need a certified lien release letter from the lien holder to export the vehicle.

5. If it sounds too good to be true it likely is!!
While there are cases where real cars are found for a steal, you should be cautious, especially when buying a car remotely. If it sounds too good to be true, either buy in person, or utilize the escrow service.

6. Get it inspected
Unless you or someone you trust inspects the car in person, you may miss certain vehicle defects. It may be a good idea to hire a 3rd party inspector knowledgeable in classic cars to pay a visit to the seller and check the car. When Escrow is recommended
